Amen NVanWendy I would love to see some historic WW2 fighters perform airshows near where I live but I don't get those kind of luxuries.

Very nice landing...My R/C Mustang crash landing had the scoop dig in and the engine dug into the dirt.Hope to see this plane rebuilt and in the air again.Keep 'em Flyin'!!!

Of course one is concerned for the safety of the pilot, but still, it's hard not to cringe when irreplaceable planes like Spitfires, Mustangs, Corsairs, Hurricanes - the list is obviously a long one - are damaged or, more often, destroyed. They are are pieces of history, and it's a shame when a pilot's or mechanic's carelessness or bravado means they can't be enjoyed by historic plane buffs any more. |
