Yes, and they were bottom of the line Epiphones too! They could have afforded any guitar they wanted, or gotten them free with an endorsement deal which several US guitar companies tried to get them to do, but they opted for Epiphone Casinos in 1966, which were very low-end instruments. I think that's one of the things that made the Beatles cool is they did what they did with common-every-day tools and made it great.
