If you have a usb wifi stick you can do the same thing for the "reception" end, and try to aim it at the router, or whatever bounced signal that seems to be trickling at you :)

honestly, i tried this and it dont seem all that great... i get better reception in general just using less effort with basic aluminum foil sorta like he shows in video with the larger peice of foil stuck behind antenna and guide it to general direction you want signal to go... then i just monitor the signal through DD-WRT firmware and adjust accordingly ;)
