You've got to respect corporations like Toyota for sponsoring such technologies. Of course, it is in their interests to invest in alternative sources of energy a la hybrid, piezoelectricity, solar and others.

They figure 5 to 10 watts generated per person. This kind of tech should be used in huge train stations like Penn and Grand Central that get hundreds of thousands of people every day.
