Best live calligraphy show can find on youtube.Chinese calligraphy is way more complicated than western calligraphy, each single Chinese character is made up by different part and their positions r not just side by side horizontally, a little bit distance adjustment between each part vertically and horizontally will make difference.

Also Chinese calligraphy is the combination of straight and cave, density and spacing (different part of the character, not just the thread), fast and slow (the move of brush).. much more element involved. Its more loosen to write a Chinese character than western character, hence more human creativities are involved. But it is too difficult, so lots of rubbish ruin the image of Chinese calligraphy and take advantage of it to fool the world.

Actually, I rather enjoy Western calligraphy and prefer it over Chinese, although both are beautiful.

chinese & japanese but i go with the japanese side more :D cause the japanese is easier... for me... though but i'd say the chinese culture is better (:
