Well it was ingenious that they depicted the main antagonists as agents, the FBI stereotype was obvious in the Matrix, the whole suit and tie, sunglasses and ear piece deal was genius. Some how fitting to portray machines as agents, since mysteriously CIA secret service and FBI agents might be squiddies.
