It was hard to find Japanese manga. I live in Los Angeles where we have a Japanese community, so I could find it here at local Japanese book shops and some comic book stores. Viz, Mushroom, Eclipse, and Dark Horse comics were the 1st to translate manga into English.

Yes, it was released by Viz back in 1990, as a three issues in full color. I still have them.

I beat it long time agao on Tg-16. I never knew it was Gunhed untill a few years later.So I own the game, manga, the flim and went to see Front Line Assembly play Mindphaser live with Gunhen on the T.v screen. The early 90's were great.
