Raptor03042,i have never said F22 is good or bad.Nor have i said my countries planes are good or bad.i have written facts that i have read.Like the fact USA rushed the f22 into service because USA is scared of being wiped out.So scared USA rushed in a plane which cockpit didnt open.It led to a US pilot being trapped in an F22 for 22hours during which time he pissed and shat his pants.

USArCOWARDSMany technologies would tend to be invented sooner or later as conceivable improvements arise.Condemning the F-22 in some posts, and then claiming your countries partial responsibility for its conception isn't lucid. Your posts have little to do with the capabilities of the F-22, and more to do with trying to discredit it to imply that your countries planes are superior. Your comments are irrelevant and without virtue. Your user name would be more accurate if it was ImAnIdiot.

TimesNewMoanin247I don't think calling other people ignorant before making an incorrect statement is admirable. It's alright to admit you were wrong, you know. It shows character.Sorry if I'm patronising you. But, as to the point of your statement, both Great Britain and America have helped each other advance technologies over the years. The F-22, though, being America's premiere air superiority fighter, is mostly the result of American ingenuity, and military spending capability.

People usually get the F-35 mixed up with the F-22 as they're pretty much sister planes, because they look the same and are produced of the same body style and technology...in a way, one's just smaller, the other is a VTOL bird and the other isn't, and they have different roles as military aircraft =/ in all.

Raptor03042While i may have misinterpreted that it is in fact "a variation" of the F22 that has VTOL, atleast i didn't go out of my way by insulting people to get my point across, like so many people here.

F-22s do that at airshows to demonstrate their maneuverability at high angles of attack, and "slide" backwards. After all, people at the show couldn't see them if they kept on going. The F-22 is more than capable of flying straight up to several tens of thousands of feet until the air gets too thin for the engines to sufficiently grip onto. The F-22 has a faster climb rate if it picks up speed first and then climes with the lift of its wings, though.
