Umm... yeah some other guy pointed that out to me already but carnage is an offspring... not a venom duplicate. So yeah, based on what you're saying, they could put both venom and carnage in the movie... well not venom cuz brock is dead so it woulnd't be venom by that symbiote would be there. I believe they're going to focus on the lizard now though.
