i didn't like saving private ryan, the plot is senseless. and i think is so stupid to tell how good is a movie comparing how many action or "drama" moments has it, it's like a critic of a five year old boy about an actionman episode.this movie is a very different war movie, and it's excellent, another eastwood masterpiece. the only movie that i can compare to this one is letters from iwo jima, is even better than "flags of.."

not graphic movie at all, only 1 major battle scene that's 10 minute at the most. Saving Private Ryan shits all over this movie, IF you are comparing graphic/action content but overall, both very different but phenomenal war films.

It's not as good as the book, but I still recommend seeing it. Amazing story.

Its a good movie but gets boring...they talk a lot but the acton parts are good but kinda graphic!

Man...just watching the trailer makes me cry. After reading the book Flags of Our Fathers, I'm practically obsessed with Pacific theatre. I really want to watch this movie and Letters from Iwo Jima!
