from reason.tvIn this classic O'Reilly Factor segment, Reason's Jacob Sullum enters the "no-spin zone" to discuss his book, Saying Yes: In Defense of Drug Use. Highlights include O'Reilly calling Sullum a "pinhead" and warning him to "stay away from my family." Much of the action happens after the host lets Sullum have the last word. Enjoy!

I recall Bill O'reilly once accusing paternalistic laws as being something of "big government" and "left-wing" ... gee, he's sounding quite paternalistic right now.

Wow, I need to watch my grammar, so sloppy. Sorry about that guys.
RepublicAgent (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
His points are two demensional because he doesn't want to accept the catalyst that would provide his guest right. He dwells on a winning fact and not the case at hand. Like the legal drug deaths.

Both have good points here. Sullum seems like a smart guy and I partially agree with his viewpoint, alcohol, fast food, and cigarettes, all of these are potentially dangerous but that is where personal responsibility comes into a play. Bill does make a point though, when you title a book, "Just Say Yes," that is not sending a good message. You shouldn't encourage people to do drugs, but we should at least get the federal government out of the drug problem, it won't solve anything.
