Out of production theremins like the Moog Ethervox which was built in the mid to late 90s fetches at least 8 or 9 grand. Only 50 were made.A discontinued walnut finnished Etherwave Pro went for about 7 grand. Only 80 of these were made, over 1200 black backed Pros were made.RCA theremins fetch well over 10 grand. Only 500 were made, and less than a third still work. This is mainly due to how rare they are, and the condition they're in.

pretty cheap i spose, considering the price of a concert harp (over $10,000), which my sister is trying to afford.

The one seen here is the etherwave pro, and it's been discontinued unfortunately. It cost about 1400 at moogmusic.Etherwave Standards are $400 from moogmusic.B3s cost between $152 and $350 depending on model.Wavefront theremins cost between 800, and 1800 dollars depending on model.

According to the worlds first female thereminist-Clara Rockmore, "theremin is the most difficult instrument in the world to play WELL"...and "It takes at least a year to master, and works take at least a month and a half to concertize".

I've seen some videos around youtube with this before, and I honestly wasn't too sure if they were legit. Luckily I stumbled upon this, so thanks. =)I wouldn't mind playing around with this, it sounds amazing.
