Absolutely amazing scene with the incredible Jack Nicholson in About Schmidt. His final letter to Ndugu, at the end of the wedding through his drive and then his arrival home. I didn't include Ndugu's letter in this clip, but if it is requested I'll put it up.

Very good ending. In the beginning he sees his work piled up in a garage awaiting disposal and wonders if anything he has ever done made any real difference. In the end he sees that his modest donations made to a little boy were more appreciated than his life long service to his company and family.

Certainly you people don't give a fuck about me. But anyway. I never had a wife, I was never rich, nor had I a nice car... But for some reason I truly understand how Warren Schmidt felt.

I don't think Nicholson was robbed at all. While this is my favorite movie - by far - I think Adrien Brody was absolutely amazing in The Pianist and deserved that Oscar just as much. Nicholson was amazing in this movie and deserved and Oscar, but so did Brody.

Me too! And I still hold on to my very on "Ndugu" in Tanzania.

Yes - and he was bloody robbed. THAT'S how it was under-rated.

What a great and touching movie. Touching, but not sentimental. Very Hollywood-unlike by the way, which I appreciate much. And Jack does a great job too, so authentic.I just hope I'm not going to end like him. No wife, no children who care, no buddies, no friends. One of the best scenes for me is in the other campers' motorhome. How this scene turns out in the end is just tragic and shows how superficial this world and people really are.

..."hope things are fine with you"... this is the driest, darkest comedy ever made... i dont think that most people realize how cynical the humor of the film is.

The ending is the best and saddest ever. It's not included here? jeez, what were you thinking??
