Buy a copy of this SACD/CD at: http://www.pipeorgancds.com/vi... Dubois has performed in many countries throughout Europe as well as the USA. He won the Recital Gold Medal at the 2002 Royal Bank Calgary International Organ Festival and Competition, and most recently, the 1st Grand Prix in the 2002 International Competition of Toulouse. Mr. Dubois currently teaches harmony and counterpoint at Angers National Conservatory where in 2005 he was appointed assistant-manager of the conservatory. He is also the titular organist at the Cathedral of Soissons. Mr. Dubois was invited by Daniel Roth, titular organist of St. Sulpice in Paris, to make a recording for JAV Recordings on the 1862 Cavaille-Coll Organ. This instrument is one of the great French builder's masterpieces which comes down to us as the builder left it. This disc will include organ music of Lizst, Duruflé, Rachmaninoff, Mozart and an improvisation by Mr. Dubois. It was recorded on May 13, 2006 and will be available in SACD surround sound in 2007. This film was made late on the evening of May 11, 2006 at St. Sulpice. I took a cab across Paris and met Michel Goussu (organ curator of St. Sulpice) at the back door around 10pm. Vincent was practicing Franz Liszt's Evocation of the Sistine Chapel. They practiced while I took lots of photos, and before midnight I filmed my video which contains the Liszt and the first movement of Widor's 6th Organ Symphony.

1) I have never "bitched at everyone else's performance"!! NEVER!! 2) I NEVER compare anyone's playing to mine unfavorably. 3) I am directing my comments to and at Dubois only. 4) I glossed over Tutti, after all, you can turn Tutti on or off at will. I heard no soul; life's joys and sorrows that instill soul upon us. As Vincent matures, I trust his playing shall mature with him. The fact that I play, from time-to-tome, the same instrument has nothing to do with anything.

Why in the hell do clowns like ahmelmahe get on Youtube simply to bitch at everyone else's performance? Oh, and compare them unfavorably to their won. If I hated the playing as much as they claim, I wouldn't waste my time trying to inform the populace about the do's and don'ts of Tutti or how THEY played the same instrument. Jeez! I heard Dubois in a concert the other night - favulous as usual.

I don't need to check myself. I stand by my statements; both of them. You talk Tutti. I talk soul. In my humble opinion, Vincent is not there. Maybe some day.

If my memory serves me right, Daniel Roth used Tutti for the ending of this piece when I saw him last summer on the same organ...so I would check yourself ahmelmahe

Sorry I made a mistake, the man wearing the white shirt is Johann Vexo who is just an assistant and the other man with the glasses is Michel Goussu.

Now if we could replace Cameron Carpenter with Vincent Dubois, I think we'd be better off, Dubois's playing shows much greater maturityy than does Carpenter's.

In the event that I did not make myself clear, the "abortionist" organist I refer to is Mr.Dubois! Daniel Roth is not simply a great organist and musician - Daniel Roth is THE GREATEST OF THE GREAT organists, both living and past!! He, his instrument, the venue and the soul of the composer meld into one. Just keep your eyes on Roth's face, his body movements, hands and feet - Roth is in an absolute trance. I'm considered great - Danial is light-years ahead of me.
