What are you talking about? First, the movie wasn't that bad if you watch the whole thing. Second, what stereotype? I live in the south and if you think there aren't places like this then you haven't been down here long enough. I don't think they're trying to say all Southerners are inbred man-raping hillbillies.

A slave couldnt steal anything or they would be butchered alive.African Slaves did not invent the Banjo, however it was similar to an African Instrument. Some slaves were allowed to play the BANJO , when their white masters said so as they were used to playing their own similar instrument.The alternative to not entertaining your masters, was a good hard raping of all your family.I agree, I think this film and Southern Comfort have created the worst ever stereotypes of Southerners.
