what the?? We pay their wages! And elect them, aka 'democracy'. So 'respect' HAS to be democrqatically EARNED. So, freedom of speech for the public, ensuring accountability in public offices that are granted to politicians(salaried handsomely, providing privileged positions).The barest minimum repayment for this privilege = examining them about their policies by TV interview. Would you rather live in N. Korea, their people 'respect' their leaders!!
