I think it's easier to get more than one cat if they are siblings. In fact, you shouldn't get just one cat, just think of all the countless of hours it would be alone.

after we got our second cat (tigger) our first cat (snuggles) got a little mad and they fought alot and one day my cat tigger somehow got snuggles in the eye and we didnt see her for awhile in the house so w started looking for her and i found her under the bed and her eye looked bad really bad and we took her to the vet and she had a ruptured cornea and had to get her eye removed its fine now and both cats get along so its all fine and snuggles looks alot like sparta just fatter and older
