I am Saulteaux it's a French language term meaning "people of the rapids. Originally from Ontario (Sault St. Marie) In other words a tribe broken down from Ojibwa. I'm Plains Ojibwa, cause i live in Saskatchewan and a quarter of it is plains that's where mostly the Cree, Assiniboine, and such reside. I'm also cree but mostly saulteaux. What bout u?

Today very little people will call themselves "indian" especially in front of other non "indians". There are many ways to be referred as and they are as follows: Native American, Aboriginal, Indigenous, First Nation, Metis, Anishinaabe is a self description used by Odawa, Ojibwe, and Algonkin peoples. And Indian of course and people will go by their bands name like " I am Cherokee or I am Cree" and so on. Don't get too caught up in Racism or try to define it. Enjoy Dave cause He's funny.
