flat nines belong on dominant chords. your name is an invalid chord symbol. although it is part of the upper extension, it's not a note that you can sit on as you would if it were part of a chord symbol. but maybe i've lost you.

Well i think the important thing about the bass solo is that the bassist seems to be really enjoying himself, Herb don't seem to mind so no problem, a bit quirky but fun all the same
