I was at Manta Point saturday and saw 7 manta's. I've been diving now for 3 year and seeing these amazing creatures was the highlight. I did'nt take any video myself but this has reminded me of a truly great moment.Thanks for the posting..

It's interesting to note the wave of their fins at they make certain maneuvers such as the ray that was stationary for a few moments toward the beginning. His normal motion for swimming was almost unaltered but at the end of each stroke their was a snap of the fin in the opposite direction of the rest of the stroke.As I look to life for inspiration on engineering I think it would be great to design a submersible based on the manta ray.

Fantastic Creature!, I was so fascinated with manta rays that I even produce a movie with a manta and a boy in a paradise Island, and I am still so impressed that I may start to produce another feature film with more mantas. Find the trailer in "cinevieques" , or in "Tito and the manta ray".
