The McCain skyhawk was the 405 or the 416?

oh shove it, why not serve before you spout your crap. You can't just say that dozens of seamen's deaths were justified because they served on a military vessel. You can believe what ever you believe but don't dare you diminish their sacrifice.

"During the Vietnam War, he nearly lost his life in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire." I took that drom John McCain's wiki.

Too bad they didn't get to your sorry ass. Nice to know you won't put up a fight when they come for you.

You will see later in this series a Zuni rocket accidently launched from one parked aircraft striking another. What the series doesn't say is that it was McCain's A-4 that was struck while he was in the cockpit. He had to get out, walk to the nose of his plane, jump off and scramble to safety. He was injured by the first explosion. He and the other pilots that survived were not required to go back to war, but he elected to do so, and was later shot down and imprisoned in N. Viet Nam.

You have no grasp of reality or never served in the military. You probably live with your mother and are afraid of women

bern, are you trying to be a jerk. If you are smart as you think you are, you mightconsider where you are placing your comments. You know nothing about people, because if youdid, you would keep your beliefs and move onwith them and express them in the right forum.Honour, I think is not your subject, probablyneither is courage. I am not a military mannor have I served in the military. But youcome off as the 'boy' who puts the turd inthe party punch. Grow up!

Honour is a concept that has been used for centuries to put a pretty face on murder. The men who were killed on the Forrestal had almost certainly caused many deaths of people who had committed no crime other than being born Vietnamese.True honour belongs to those who refuse to use violence as an easy way to solve their problems. Your soldiers honour is an evil, atavistic excuse for thuggish license. Thank god I don't have it. |
