I have Guillaume by Milnes, Pavarotti, Freni. Surely, Milnes' famous "Sogne a ta mere" is incredible. Many tenors fear singing the b flat. It is said he is a dramatic tenor who preferred to major as a baritone.

Overall an amazing performance, both vocally and musically. Hampson does this perfectly.

I think he's the best baritone in the world right now.

I have the record of performance. but I have some difficulties with attempts to make it fit the internet size I'll try to do that scene, but maybe something could be found via Mezzo (French TV)or DVD -it worth it though they cut plenty of chorus music (especially in II act) and sets may be not the best, yet it's a wonderful production first of all because of really good acting (not only Tell and his son - almost everybody in chorus also is living character) and Thomas here is really splendid!

I'm looking for the following scene and haven't found it yet. If you have any idea if it's been posted, please let me know!

I like Thomas very much and especially here .He is the BEST Guillaume of all I saw -he united sensivity and sound and created a live and very human image(or character -this may be better to say) The following scene is also superb! Look for the whole perfomance!

Wow, Hampson is just incredible at this aria. It really suits him. Do you have the following scene, when Tell shoots the arrow? Because after this utterly incredible aria, I'm desperate to see what follows. |
