If I was you I wouldn't start being concerned about what is cool. Especially when you make yourself seem so sensitive in regards to the opinions of spoiled fans. After all, they are spoiled fans right?It is not easy to get people to turn around and start respecting something you respect.So, leave the spoiled to doing what they do best, and start showing people why those early house artists deserve the praise you believe they do.

That's what disappoints me with spoiled fans.they can put Daft Punk on a pedestal for doing what they do.Yet the same people turn around and insult black artist who have been DJing and making House music and samples for years! Calling them talentless for not playing an instrument, when they don't even know that!DP doesn't play an instrument and its now "Cool"?

So true!Alot of mainstream artists use samples,or are influenced by other bands. So...who cares if they're not original...they make music for the love it, not the money...& they sound pretty bad ass doing so.

I like daft punk also, but have you realized... they only really became internationally popular the moment they started using other artists songs? They are like the weird al of house music. Kind of sad when you think about it.
