Beastie Boys Is mostly party anthems. They don't go too deep.,, and I love em for that!But all the great MCs out there got mad respect for em..so there really should be no discussion.

You are entitled to your opinion on what "real" hip-hop is. But most peeps will tell you pac and eazy was real hip-hop. They connected with people just like them. The peeps in the ghettos. The ones who think its fake dont want to hear about pimps and hoes and dope dealing cuz they can't relate, they don't live that life. Beastie Boys is hip-hop, but they cant rhyme about shit like that, and that is real. "fake laughter" and "wanna be bad" tells me you might be from the suburbs just like me.

I love hip hop, even though West Coast was the place for hip hop (NWA and Pac) Beastie Boys and Wu Tang bring a nice style from the East Coast (my side) People should appreciate East Coast hip hop a little more, and as for this shit on MTV today fuck it it sucks.
