Here's a lovable man, so multi-talented. Very scared, as he looks death in the eye. He goofs a bit in the lyrics (first chorus, last A: 'On the golf course I'm rather short' instead of 'In 1929 I sold short'), tries to make light of it, but fails. Still all in all a credible performance. It's heartbreaking.

He didn't die of lung cancer. He died have a throat cancer that he refused to have treated because it would have meant not singing any more. |
