Steve is the only guy I know that would play a pocket groove when it's his time to solo.

Weckyl = melodic cymbal work with nice double strokes(but on drum set?...really...come on)favorite song like soloVinnie = super nice chops with the ability to move both ways on the set. plus ebony heads because thats hilarious. really nice sounding kit nonetheless.Gadd = by far the funnest to watch plus an amzing feel for the groove. probably the drummer who had the most fun.

How about Elvin Jones for influential drummer alive. Or did he die? I mean, Elvin pretty much lay the foundation for the latin style of drumming that Gadd has taken to another level. I don't disagree that Gadd is a major influence, but to say the most that is still alive is a bit over the top. But that is my opinion.
