The terms are interchangable. They're the same thing, so they both exist. Really, if you were going to call something an electric bass, I'd say it would be the amplified double bass.

If you have a bass line stuck in your head for weeks on end, then you've probably been listening to this guy.It really is too bad how he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Comparing the shows from before/after Moon died, then before/after Entwistle died, you see how much eat matters. My first reaction to hearing The Who after John Entwistle died was something along the lines of "WTF!!!" After Moon died it was... wow they just aren't as amazing.
