Ya but even though it was 367hp it still devours the hemi's left and right because it come's stock with 4.10 gears in the back. Also with the 6.0L motor which was the old corvette mill you can do so many upgrades to it to get more hp lik different cames or the corvette cam. Lik seriously they should have put the 6.2L Hemi or what ever hemi in this truck. What till Chev puts the new 454 in the reg cab shortbox truck lik back in 91..But seriously dodge is junk

notice your 6.0 gets 367 and a 5.7 gets 390... funny isnt it?
DammitLeroy (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
It has all Aluminum block heads and intake. Has a 5 speed tranny. Has 4.10 rear end..Extended cab fully loaded with factory 20's navigation everything..Ya i never said anything bout the SVT cobras and what not but the 302's and the 4.6L in the new stangs i zomp...So ya buddy like i said at 3-4 grand is just when my truck gets rank..It tops out in 4th gear at 3300rpm with still a entire gear left so ya bitch..im sure i would run low 15's...

bc 350z's are slow unless turboed/supercharged..saw some run the other night and they were all mid to high 14 second cars. and i promise you didnt beat any mustangs, a sotck gt runs high 13's off the lot. and notice gm doesnt build the trucks with those parts installed, you have to buy them..that's my point. mopar does the saame thing, they offer headers and cai's but not installed already. please enlighten me on what your awesome vmax has in it..i'd love to know
jordan21210 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
oooh wow, 22's from the factory?! those are great...if you enjoy running slower. put it to you this way, stock a vortec max runs low 15's in the 1/4..probably like 15.2ish, my truck ran a 14.85 in full street trim (heavy 20's w/ street tires, no weight reduction) and a half a tank of gas...throw on some 17s with drag radials and i'm instantly low 14s. and i can think of about 1000+ cars and trucks that will "keep up through the lights" my truck being one of them.
DammitLeroy (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
And the funny thing is is that i have already raced that Hemi still does not keep up...Im already blown past them throuhg the lights nothing will catch up unless its the Pontiac G8 with the same mill...Everything bout the Chevrolet is better..Chev even offers 22" rims you can get for your truck from factory...and a variety of 20's and 18's buddy...So ya the Dodge's arent ntn special
DammitLeroy (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
First of all GM has made there own Cold Air Intake System and Exhaust and headers(i think) that are all factory made that you can get installed right off the lot...some even come in with it...How come 350Z Mustangs hell even diesel's cant keep up to me...Even on the highway trying to pass a semi doin 100km/h before i even pass the front of the semi ive topped out at 160?? Trust me ive raced lots of shit with my truck and nothing comes with me after 60 kuz im already to far ahead
jordan21210 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
vortec max is definitely NOT what it is cracked up to be...the hemi runs dead even with it mostly depending on gearing and the vmax is a 6.0l, dodges 6.1l thats in the cars puts down 425hp. not too mention the hemi in this video is the newer one, the r/t will run circles around a vmax silverado...
jordan21210 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
already explained, headers, intakes, and chips would cost WAY too much in the production line...way too inefficient so that's why it isnt done. gm and ford dont offer chips, intakes, and headers on there special editions either
DammitLeroy (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
actually just shut your mouth because GM is offering the Vortec Max special edition which is a 6.0L motor with 367 hp and around 400tq..Sure the dodge has 390 but i dought the come with a 4.10 rear end...i love hear loud muffler hemis trying to catch me in my VMAX..there with me off the line until i hit 3 grand and after that is when my truck starts perrrin and nothin is catching me...Now you can also get the 6.2L motor in the crew cabs and extended cabs now to with a 6 speed.
