We used all tracer rounds so to check that all six tracer units were working. If we did a mix, there may have been a tracer unit that wouldn't function properly, thus causing a space in between each glowing tracer round but we would have assumed it was simply a case of a non-tracer round being fired. Typically we do a mix of ammunition rather than use pure tracers. With a rate of fire of 50 rounds per second, just a few tracer rounds will be sufficient.Thank you!

when i use tracers in my airsoft machine guns i only mix 1/3 of the round glow in the dark and 2/3 regular. Save some money and works just as well. Also you dont have a glowing string leading to your face for the enemy to see its more broken up.

how much was that minigun (bbgun)?

Glow-in-the-dark BB's require a strong light source for them to start to glow. Using them without a tracer unit will not cause them to illuminate.Thank you!

So basically using the BB's without the tracer unit is same as normal BB's? Is there BB's that glow in the dark, but without a tracer?

Airsoft BB's are made of three different kinds of material - bio-degradable, plastic and glow-in-the-dark plastics. You will need to use the glow-in-the-dark BB's AND the tracer unit to get a tracer effect. Not using a Tracer Unit will not allow the glow-in-the-dark BB's to get "charged" and start to glow.Thank you!

So you wouldn't need a Tracer Unit for .20 or .25 for it to work? I'm confused...
XcaliberTactical (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
I don't have any personal experience with them but generally speaking, most of the heavier (.20g or .25g) glow-in-the-dark tracer BB's are fine to use in most airsoft weapons.Thank you!
