That is the way they wanted it to sound. they wanted the "trashy electro" distortion. I would assume the reasoning behind this is that they are a electro band. For clear Davey Havok vocals, listen to AFI, for awesome synth beats and eerie vocals, listen to Blaqk Audio. Also, yes, you can comment here, and you are entitled to your opinion, but so are we, so don't be upset if someone argues your point with you.
