Yeah, this was right at the end of the disco-era, about 1980, and this movie may have helped touch off the big roller-skating fad that happened about that time. There were roller-rinks all over the place.

I believe this was the disco era and was a fun time, ABBA, Disco Duck, ELO, some great memories!

I never saw the movie but heard it could have been better, enough said. When you get music as good as what we got from ELO and ONJ it wasn't enough to save the film from the flops -'Xanadu' and 'Magic' were the two biggest hit singles from the soundtrack, both during 1980. The B-side of 'Magic' was 'Whenever You're Away from Me' - a duet with ONJ and Gene Kelly with real swing orchestra, which I still like to play today. Enjoy!

Holy crap! I saw this movie in the summer before 11th grade...I forgot how absolutely freakin' gorgeous ONJ was...and still is!!! She was my "dream girl," and probably most 16 year old guys that summer. LOL...
