Yeah, its basically switches which routing capacity. Most of the time its extra software than needs purchasing from the vendor...

Cisco might be good in IP/Optical networks, but in metro environment, PTN, based on T-MPLS and PBB-TE will be the future replaciing SONET and NG-SDH platforms, cisco is not supporting T-MPLS or PBB-TE, because these PTN NE will replace L2 routers which is a big market share issue for Cisco and it monopoly, already numerous carriers and operators have already asked for trials of PTN, such KT, DT etc. |
