The movie portrays her as some kind of sleazy dirtbag conniving hooker who more or less got what was coming to her.For all anyone knows of her though, she was just naive and easily influenced, got jerked around for a little too long and then threatened to expose certain people; in mob hits, the sliced open mouth is symbolic of someone who was about to talk.

This movie was not the real story of Elizabeth Short,This was a very dull boring film,with other subject matters going on. I was expecting the life story of her life,from the beginning to end. Maybe someone can do the story right one day.

Such a great suubject ruined by this watered down story about truley digusting people. I hardly found even one character worthy of identification or played well. On the other LA Confidential was gripping, energetic. and the characters were awesome.

It's also worth noting that this movie is based on the book, and in the book she DID get her organs removed.

"The victim has been cut in half...all organs removed..."It's worth noting for the sake of accuracy that *no* organs were removed from Elizabeth Short's body, except that she'd been given a hysterectomy.I suppose it's more horrific their way (as if it needed to be)...
