There was a tribute to Les Paul on the tele and all the "greats" were there except Gary. He just doesn't care about that kinda thing, yet has a signature Les Paul out. BUT, Vai was there playing a Fender (right) and standing next to Les Paul (who was sitting down). Paul had to correct a note that Vai played...Paul did it by putting his hand up to Vai's hand and changing it. Enough said about the "great" Vai.

Saw him as Whitesnake's support act on their Lovehunter tour IIRC. He was superb and got everyone out of the bar and into the theatre to see and hear a sublime guitarist at work.

yeah cry guitar cry...clapton also used this sound as one of his faves.He called it woman sound.
